I will walk you through the codebase of a Ruby app that lets you upload PDF documents and extract XML metadata, if the PDF document is eInvoice-compliant according to the EU eInvoice regulation.

Next, we will parse the XML and extract useful information like invoice name, date, amount, sender & receiver names & VAT numbers.
